with MASA again. I think it had to do with looking at those old minutes/messages/posts and really realizing how much time and effort was put towards creating this awesome environment. I think it’s something we don’t think about as much, but we do leave an imprint on MASA in our own ways.

Which is why I realize that we need to have a way to reach back to our history and see where we’ve been, so that we can impart that knowledge and wisdom to the newer staff. I know that I know a lot about MASA because I’ve been a part of it for 4 years, but looking through those old messages dating back to 2003 makes me more appreciative of the time and dedication these alumni put in to cultivate this organization to what it is today. They really understood that MASA isn’t an abstract thing or feeling, but it’s the people. I look at the present and realize that MASA is still the same because we emphasize cultivating relationships with people, but also I notice that we can take a lot from the actions of those before us to make sure that the environment we provide is understood better in the future.

Anyhow, now I feel all old and sad that my time is almost done. SIGH
